The society was formed with assistance from Burscough Parish Council, input from West Lancashire Council for Voluntary Service and guidance from the Skelmersdale Allotment Society, the constitution was agreed at The Farmers Arms on the 23rd November 2011. The aims of the society are to promote the growing of vegetables and fruit at the allotment site in Richmond Avenue, and to also locate further land for allotments in the Burscough area.
